WOW!!! I moved to PA about 20 years ago and lived near Iron bound Section a heavy presence of Portuguese Businesses specializing in Portuguese food. On Lehigh Valley,it's Portuguese Anemia of their culinary delights in food. Here at Portugalia BBQ Restaurant and bar in this hidden area of low traffic town of Freemanburg this place exists. The feel of Iron bound Newark,NJ exists here. The meats are cooked over real Charcoal and the pork ribs are juicy and succulent. The chicken has the taste of charcoal. The service is impeccable. The prices are great and reflects in your bill Low. I am going back to try the beef ribs over Charcoal not propane or natural gas at other places. This is Ironbound Freemansburg Pa. Save yourself a 75 mile drive to Newark and drive to Freemansburg. You'll taste buds will tantalize.
Food is very good! It's a BYOB! Owner is so attentive and it's delightful not fancy, Everything was very good, he used to own Europa in Bethlehem... it a nice to have a little bit of a Portuguese BBQ, we traveled 30 minutes and another couple we spoke with the same!!
